Alzheimer's Australia (Qld)'s mission is to reduce the impact of dementia on the community. We do this by providing leadership, information, education, advocacy and support for people with dementia, their families and carers. We also raise awareness and understanding of dementia in the broader community and provide training to workers in the aged care and community sectors. Alzheimer's Australia (Qld) has a state office on the Gold Coast, a Dementia and Memory Community Centre in Brisbane and member organisations covering Far North Queensland, North Queensland, the Mackay Region, Central Queensland, Wide Bay and Burnett, the Darling Downs and South West, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.
