West Australian Transcultural Mental Health Centre

A statewide service to meet the mental health needs of people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background.

WATMHC program includes:

  • mental health assessment, management and treatment of people from CALD background
  • design and delivery of mental health promotion and prevention initiatives
  • direct clinical service delivery
  • education and training on transcultural mental health issues
  • service development
  • collabroative research initiatives, consultancy service

    Migrants and/or refugees from culturally lingistically diverse backgrounds, age 18-65, requiring psychiatry or clinical psychology services for mental disorders. Detailed referral letter required also specifying whether interpreter service will be required. The Centre is unable to offer crisis intervention.
