Every year approximately 1 million older people, younger people with disabilities and carers receive community care services. When community care works well it is magic.However there continues to be unmet needs in the community and the availability of family carers is decreasing. In addition it is becoming increasingly hard to attract and retain workers to provide community care services. The expectations of what, and how much, can be provided by community care are increasing.
