Mercy Mental Health in Victoria is hosting a Cultural Psychiatry Symposium

A number of guest speakers have been invited to present at this event including Professor Megan Johnstone from Deakin University. Prof Johnston will be speaking about Culture, Language & Patient Safety: Making the link.

Other speakers include:

Dr. Russell D’Souza, Psychiatrist, Northern Hospital: Fostering Spiritual Values in Well Being - The Science of Well being

Dr. Akinsola Akinbiyi, Mercy Mental Health: From Africa to Australia -  A journey from the eyes of a Psychiatrist

The Symposium will also feature a panel discussion on "Migration and Mental Health: what it feels to be a consumer, carer or a clinician".
