Community Mental Health Expo
Promoting mental health awareness and wellbeing through an innovative program of informative panel discussions, presentations, mental health expo, interactive holistic workshops, art, theatre and creative activities.
Panels & Community Forums
Professionals within the field of mental health alongside those who have personal experiences, engage in panel discussions around key general community mental health topics.
Theme 1 ‘When someone close has a mental Illness’ providing support to the family and friends of those affected by mental illness.
Theme 2 “The light at the end of the tunnel” holding on to hope and maintaining mental wellbeing for life
MC/Facilitator Dr Sally “Feelgood” Cockburn
Dr Cockburn is a practising GP with over 25 years clinical experience. Also known as Dr Feelgood, she is one of Australia's leading health communicators with over 18 years media experience. She currently hosts Talking Health each Sunday evening on radio 3AW, writes for Girlfriend magazine and appears on The Morning Show (Channel 7)
Panellists include Dr Michael Carr Gregg (Psychiatrist/Health Communicator); Peter Keogh (Marital Arts Expert and survivor); Anne Alp (ARAFEMI carer); Suzi Adams (Southern Health carer and family consultant; John Cheetham (Psychologist); Trevor Doherty (Survivor) and Cheryl Gwin (Consumer Rep / Survivor)
Other program activities include an Art Exhibition, Livespark Theatre, Roarhouse Cabaret, artistic activities, workshops, children's village and mental health information market
