14th Annual Hunter Mental Health Conference 2008 – Curiosity Matters, Improving Recovery through Research

Did curiosity really kill the cat? Without the actions of some of the greatest inventors such as Thomas Eddison, we would still be sitting in the dark. Without research there would be no opportunity to create new inventions and discover new and improved ways of doing things. This conference will showcase research recently undertaken, research in progress, and provide opportunity to share research findings with other mental health professionals, with a view to improving health care practices, service delivery and recovery for people with a mental illness and their families.

Conversely we will also examine the negative impacts that result when these areas are not working in harmony.
