The impact of war and conflict on women is particularly severe in the 21st Century. What can be done to improve security for women and their families?
Women, War and Peace - The role of Women in Peace: Professor Lis Porter from the University of South Australia and Mr Keith Wilson from Grip Consultants, and formerly with the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, The Hague, will speak about how effective international institutions are in reflecting the needs of women in conflict and post conflict situations, and what roles women play and should play in security frameworks and peace building processes?
