Mental Health Matters Awards 2008 - Recognising excellence in mental health
The Mental Health Matters Awards aims to recognise the hardwork and dedication of individuals and organisations who have demonstrated a commitment towards addressing key mental health issues on a local, regional or statewide level over the past 12 months from September 07 – August 08.
These awards encourage individuals and organisations that have designed and utilised innovative and effective programs to enhance the mental health in our communities through improving understanding, awareness and service provision of mental health issues.
The scope and variability of mental health issues has led to the formation of thirteen categories under which individuals and organisations can be nominated for the Mental Health Matters Awards.

- Arts Award
- Carer Award
- Consumer Award
- Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Award
- Government Organisation Award

- Industry or Private Sector Organisation Award
- Media Award
- Non-government or Community Organisation Award
- Partnership Award
- Research Award
- Senior Award
Nominations for the 2008 Mental Health Matters Awards close 5pm, Friday 15 August, 2008.
The presentation ceremony will be held during Mental Health Week 2008.
