Mental Health Service Achievement Awards 2009

Multicultural Mental Health Australia is encouraging those working in transcultural mental health to nominate themselves in this year's Mental Health Service Achievement Awards.

Mental Health Service Achievement Awards 2009 recognise and encourage best practice, excellence and innovation in mental health service delivery.

This competition has been running since 1992.

Categories include:

  • Non-Government Organisation provided services
  • Consumer provided services
  • Family/carer provided services
  • Regional/rural/remote programs
  • Infant, child and adolescent services or programs
  • Mental health promotion or mentla illness prevention program or project
  • Specialist service or part of a larger service

The 2009 Mental Health Service Achievement Awards also includes an Exceptional Contribution Award. This award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to mental health service delivery. It acknowledges a remarkable accomplishment and wide sphere of influence.

These awards are administered and managed by TheMHS and is supported with funding by the Australian and New Zealand governments.

The winners will be announced during the 19th Annual TheMHS Conference in Perth.

Finalists will be notified by mid June 2009.
