National GP CALD Mental Health Needs Survey

last modified 05/06/2007 14:51

MMHA is currently conducting a survey for Australian GPs to gauge how MMHA can improve its communication with doctors; as well as identify the service/resource gaps in relation to meeting the needs of CALD mental health consumers and carers.

Research has shown that GPs are usually the first point of contact for individuals from CALD backgrounds suffering from mental health illnesses. Hence it is vital that GPs are supported in their role.

To enable us to provide you with the support you need, we encouraged you to take a few moments to complete the survey  by Friday 6th July 2007.

Your responses will ensure that there are adequate resources and training to assist GPs in better working with CALD mental health consumers.
