MMHA has coordinated or been a major contributor to various multicultural mental health projects.
No More Mualagh Project - Winner of a Quality Use of Medicines award in 2006. The project was developed to assist Afghans living in rural Australia learn more about depression, it's treatment and how to safely use antidepressant medication. The project also assisted in educating health professionals on the Afghan experience of depression and what they can do to help their patients.with Afghan community.
Community Capacity Building & Stigma Reduction - A project developed with CALD communities to achieve a shared understanding of effective and culturally acceptable ways to promote mental health and prevent mental illness.
Consumer and Carer Project - MMHA is currently undertaking a study to determine what national project would be of the most benefit to CALD consumers and carers.
